The Story Behind Rusty B

Absolutely. I’d make this section feel like you’re pulling them into what happened after that first rose, without jumping ahead to the name yet. The rose is the beginning, and we want the reader to wonder, “Okay, so what happened next?”

The Story Behind Rusty B

That first copper rose started something I never saw coming.

I made it for my mom’s gravestone because I wanted something that would last. Something I could make with my own hands that would always be there.

I didn't set out to start a business. I wasn't thinking about products, craft shows, or building a brand. I was simply trying to make a rose.

But somewhere between that first piece of copper, the hammering, the heat, and figuring things out as I went, something clicked.

I wanted to make another one.

And then another.

I started experimenting with copper—learning how it moved, how it changed with heat, how a hammer could turn a flat piece of metal into something completely different. Some pieces worked. Some definitely did not. And there was a whole lot of trial and error in between.

But I was hooked.

That first rose wasn't perfect, and neither was the path that followed. But it was the beginning of something I couldn't quite let go of.

One rose became a reason to keep learning.
Learning became creating.
And creating slowly became something much bigger than I ever imagined.

I just didn't know it yet.

That little rose was only the beginning.
